Das gelbe Ordensband ist ein Nachtfalter aus der Familie der Eulenfalter (Noctuidae). Der Falter fliegt an warmen Waldrändern und Lichtungen von Juni bis in den August. Das Weibchen legt seine Eier an bevorzugt an Schlehdorn (Prunus spinosa) ab. Das Ei, überwintert und die Raupe schlüpft schon früh im neuen Jahr. Sie ernährt sich von den jungen Blattaustrieben.
The yellow bands underwing is a moths from the family of Noctuidae. The moth flies at warm forest edges and clearings from June to August. The female lays her eggs on preferably blackthorn (Prunus spinosa). The egg hibernates and the caterpillar hatches early in the new year. It feeds on the young leaf shoots.

Der Falter saugt an Baumsäften und kann auch mit einer Rotwein-Zuckermischung angelockt werden. Ich kann den Falter jedes Jahr auch an meiner Beobachtungslampe dokumentieren. Der Falter kommt jedoch nur lokal vor und gilt allgemein als selten.
The butterfly sucks on tree sap and can also be lured with a red wine-sugar mixture. I can document the moth every year also at my observation lamp. However, the moth only occurs locally and is generally considered rare.
