In vergangenen Tagen war ich immer wieder im Wald hinter dem Kloster Triefenstein unterwegs auf der Suche nach Bärlauch und den ersten Märzenbecher. Bärlauch konnte ich schon vor drei Wochen vereinzelt finden. Letzte Woche haben sich die ersten Märzenbecher gezeigt. So war mir gestern klar, dass diese Woche mehr Blüten zu finden sind. Meine Erwartungen wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Pflanzen breiten sich aus und blühen dieses Jahr besonders zahlreich.

In the past days I was always on the road in the forest behind the monastery Triefenstein in search of wild garlic and the first snowflake. I could find bear's garlic already three weeks ago. Last week the first snowflakes showed up. So yesterday it was clear to me that this week there are more flowers to be found. My expectations were not disappointed. The plants are spreading and are flowering particularly abundantly this year.

Das Licht war noch nicht so, wie ich es mir vorgestellt hatte. Eigentlich wollte ich die Pflanzen im Gegenlicht der Sonne fotografieren. Um den Kontrast zu reduzieren habe ich mit einer Taschenlampe mein Motiv aufgehellt. Leider war es bei optimalem Sonnenstand etwas bewölkt und so konnte ich meine Aufnahmen nicht so gestalten wie ich mir das vorgestellt hatte.

The light was not yet what I had imagined. Actually, I wanted to photograph the plants against the light of the sun. To reduce the contrast, I used a flashlight to brighten up my subject. Unfortunately it was a little bit cloudy at optimal sun position and so I could not take my pictures the way I had imagined.

Der Bärlauch sprießt jetzt überall und wächst schnell. Das milde Wetter der vergangenen Tage hat das noch einmal beschleunigt. Ich liebe diese Pflanze mit ihrem scharfen Geschmack und herrlichem Duft nach Knoblauch. So kann ich nicht widerstehen und nasche schon mal ein Blatt direkt in der Natur. Es versteht sich von selbst, dass ich eine Handvoll Blätter immer mit nach Hause bringe. Die Pflanze ist nicht nur schmackhaft, sondern auch sehr gesund. Zu dieser Jahreszeit kann man sie auch nicht mit den giftigen Maiglöckchen verwechseln. Diese findet man erst einige Wochen später.

The wild garlic now sprouts everywhere and grows fast. The mild weather of the past days has accelerated this once again. I love this plant with its pungent taste and wonderful smell of garlic. So I can't resist and nibble a leaf directly in nature. It goes without saying that I always bring a handful of leaves home with me. The plant is not only tasty but also very healthy. At this time of the year you cannot confuse it with the poisonous lily of the valley. These are only found a few weeks later.

Auf dem Rückweg stand der nachfolgende Märzenbecher ganz einsam. Diese Einladung habe ich gerne angenommen und meine Kamera noch einmal für ein Bild ausgepackt. Zu meiner Überraschung zeigen sich auch die ersten Blausterne. Ihre Blüten sind allerdings noch geschlossen. Ich komme wieder 🌱

On the way back, the following Spring Snowflake stood quite lonely. I gladly accepted this invitation and unpacked my camera again for a picture. To my surprise the first Scilla bifolia show up. However, their blossoms are still closed. I will come again 🌱
