Euxoa tritici (Linnaeus, 1761)
Nach Fotos ist diese Art nicht zweifelsfrei von Euxoa nigrofusca und Euxoa eruta zu trennen! Sicherheit bietet nur eine Genitaluntersuchung, die allerdings nicht mein Ding ist. So tiefgreifen ist mein Forscherdrang dann doch nicht ausgeprägt. Ich ziehe es vor, Schmetterlinge zu fotografieren und überlasse derart tief greifende Erforschung dann doch den studierten Wissenschaftlern.
According to photos this species cannot be separated from Euxoa nigrofusca and Euxoa eruta without any doubt! Only a genital examination offers security, but this is not my thing. My urge to explore is not that deep after all. I prefer to photograph moths and leave such profound research to the scientists I have studied.
Da mir mit ziemlicher Sicherheit niemand das Gegenteil beweisen kann, belasse ich es bei meiner Bestimmung und benenne den Falter Euxoa tritici. Diese Art fliegt in Deutschland in einer Generation vorwiegend im Monat August. Allgemein gilt diese Art als nicht gefährdet. In Bauern hat es der Falter allerdings auf die Rote Liste der vom Aussterben bedrohten Arten geschafft. Aufgrund der schwierigen Abgrenzung der genannten Arten ist diese Einschätzung sicher nicht so dramatisch einzustufen.
Since no one can almost certainly prove me wrong, I leave it at my destination and name the moth Euxoa tritici. This species flies in Germany in one generation mainly in August. In general this moth is not considered endangered. However, in farmers the butterfly has made it onto the Red List of endangered species. Due to the difficulty of defining the species mentioned, this assessment is certainly not so dramatic.
