We gain more perspective when viewing things close up and far away. One could say we get a better glimpse of the truth when viewing from a multitude of perspectives. Any one view may not hold the entire truth, but combine all views into one comprehensive one, and now you're onto something! Viewing ourselves as a whole can certainly help us flow and maintain harmony among one another, but it's hard to gather a more holistic view of oneself when we represent such a complex ecosystem.
When we make these connections, our light is on. I think it's important to help others see the light, too. Once we start seeing that we all represent the same whole, maybe we can start getting along better and stop living in fear of one another. I try to spread that light and show people the bigger picture whenever possible, because it can be easy to see something from one view. Everyone's got a story to tell, and each of those individual stories equate to a greater story: the human story.
I am very fascinated with the big, the small, and everything in between. I recently just picked up a macro lens for my Panasonic Lumix G7 camera, and absolutely love it. There is so much beauty on this smaller scale that goes unnoticed, and I will continue to share these enormously tiny finds of mine in this macrophotography series. I will start with an up close shot, followed by one that is further away. It will be cool to see what you initially thought the picture was! Please let me know in the comments if you thought it was something drastically different than this CFC bulb from a lamp in my kitchen.
