We are all involved in this machine with our will and much of what we believe would benefit us as human beings is erroneous. It is shocking to realise all the things we believed and therefore wanted.

I agree. If from a young age, we were taught to be happy without the need of things, rather than taught to need things, I think the world would be astonishingly differently.

The well-known saying "therefore beware of what you wish for" cannot be dismissed out of hand and the universe, as is also said, fulfils wishes.

Indeed I have been wondering recently if an immature humanity desperate for attention did not conjure mass surveillance into this world, and if the more recent social distancing and masking of our faces is not the physical manifestation of the emotional distancing and hiding of our true selves we have been practising more and more since the inception of the internet.

I currently follow individuals who dare to do something, who have courage, even though I have to do so from afar because they are travellers.

Well perhaps there is someone closer by that you can serve as a leader to.

For the younger ones, I wish they wouldn't be too damaged and wouldn't need another thirty years to realise how many mistakes the mega-machine has given them.

This process can happen in the span of a few seconds in the right circumstances. Unfortunately the right circumstances are too often a traumatic one. Though I suppose there is a benefit to that also. Consider 9/11, there were many who saw that and were effected deeply enough to act in a way they thought was better, or braver, and others saw it and were impacted enough to think in a way they thought was better, or braver. Maybe one day there will be an event which effects everyone and forces the whole of humanity to suddenly realise the importance of doing what it good and the extent of the consequences to the world in failing to. I think the Jewish idea of what sparks the "world to come" may be similar to that.
