Hello friends. How are you all? I hope you all are fine. I am also fine. So today I am back again with a new Splinterlands post. Today I have reviewed a character whose mana cost is six. So we can use it in low mana battles and also in high mana battles. This character belongs to the Fire Splinter and its bloodline is Drakoshan. The name of this character is Withered Old Sage. I really liked the stats of this character so I thought I should review it for you all. So now let's start the review.
First let's talk about its stats. At max level its stats are like this. Its mana cost is 6. Its attack is 3 and its attack type is Magic. Its speed is 4. Its armor is 3 and its health is 5. And as I said its bloodline is Drakoshan. For 6 mana 3 Magic attack and 4 speed are quite good. Its other stats are also good. Its armor is also quite good and its health is also okay. So overall I liked its stats for 6 mana.
Now let's talk about its abilities. It has only three abilities which are Void. Spite and Resurgence.
First let's talk about Void. Because of the Void ability the damage from enemy Magic attacks is reduced by 50%. And if the enemy has only 1 Magic attack then our monster gets zero damage. For example if the enemy has 4 Magic attack and attacks Withered Old Sage then it does not take 4 damage. The damage is reduced by 50%. So this is a very useful ability against Magic attackers.
Now let's talk about its second ability which is Spite. Spite is a very interesting ability. When Withered Old Sage is defeated then because of Spite it makes a counter attack with a 100% chance. So even after being defeated it attacks which is really good. Especially if the opponent's monster has very low health and only a little health is left then its final attack can be very useful at that time.
Now let's talk about its third ability which is Resurgence. Through Resurgence Withered Old Sage resurrects itself once in the battle. At the time of resurrection it comes back with 100% health and 100% armor. Its Magic buffs and debuffs are also reset. But in the round when it is resurrected it does not make its normal attack. Also when it resurrects it deals 1 Physical damage to all units.
Now let's talk about its best position. In my opinion keeping it in the second position is the safest option. If you have a strong tank then you should keep the tank in the first position and keep Withered Old Sage in the second position. Because when we keep it in the second position it can survive for a longer time. We should keep someone with more health in the first position. Its health is okay but it is not very high. So keeping it in the second position is the best option.
Now let's talk about its weaknesses. I would say its first weakness is its health because its health is only 5. And 5 is average health. Another weakness is that its Void ability only works against Magic attackers. It does not work against Melee and Ranged attackers. So these are the weaknesses of this card. Other than this I did not see any other major weakness in this card.
Now let's talk about my overall opinion. Overall I found Withered Old Sage to be a very good card. For 6 mana its stats and abilities are quite interesting. Out of these three abilities my favorite ability is Void. And among its stats my favorite is its attack which is 3. So I think it is quite good. If I want to rate this card out of 10 then I would give it 8.5 out of 10.
