For me, it’s one of the most beautiful places with its huge cliffs that look like the ruins of some ancient civilization. The rocks split into regular blocks. I went there for a couple of days to hike and take photos and painted this picture based on one of my photos. I hadn’t been there in winter before because i didn’t have the courage to move out. Then i had to realize that winter is one of the most amazing seasons, especially when it is accompanied by frost and snow.
Sonnet watercolor on Canson mixed media paper, A/4 size.
Colors used: Payne gray, cerulean blue, ultramarine blue, dark green, light green, golden ocher, natural and burnt siena, umbra, plus black ink and white gel pen.
I no longer like the straight-cut frames that have been bounded by the masking tape so far. It’s much more playful and exciting to have a jagged edge. I even drew around with an Art Pen.

I only copied the main lines, freehand as well.
I don’t have too many phase photos of the picture because I painted the basics pretty quickly. The final finish with a white gel pen and Art Pen (black lines) was a little longer.
Its essence is hidden in the small details, almost unnoticed. Without these little things, the picture would be flat and dull.
