Dear hivers,
I really like mushrooms, not only cook and eat but also paint.
I just found a mushroom that is another serious challenge to paint. Its fruiting body looks like SpongeBob, but is brown and never wears square pants. The moss on the ground with the little red spore pods is just an addition.
This is the watercolor I've painted yesterday night:
And this was created the day before yesterday:
Well, I don't forget the step-by-step process.
After sketching, I painted the background with wet technique.
Then I put base color (sepia)and shadows of the mushrooms.
Forming the holes took a lot of time.
I painted more layers on it and worked the edges then the moss and drew tiny dots on it with a white gel pen.
