The other day, in between our conversation, one of my colleague was sayin- "Men I have this beautiful girl in my life...".
Only then I looked at him as a regard of recognition.
Admitting that in front of newly met people, he was not bragging. I noticed his eyes.
They were glittering in admiration, in happiness, in contentment.
I am Karren Murphy, sure I am one of the most rough & tough woman, leading the Chicago Police Department, and I do not like chivalrous men.
Men like Harry Dresden, going all the way to open a door for me, pull a chair, or walking between me and the road.
I have an usual instinct of regarding everything as grey or black & white, as I meet lots of people, and I am very very distinguished about whom I color in my world. Also, it is easier this way for me to keep myself on track.
And same goes for the women.
Certainly, not all men and women have got that standard.
I am not talking about your momentary fascination or infatuation of love. That grows based on ecstatic, fierce, and burning love.
No!
I am more of a fan of slow, eloquent, peaceful love.
That takes time to grow, bloom, and form.
You need flavors in that. One of the most important one is respect. It is like a salt in curry. You do not add proper amount, it goes all bland. And than little spice of accommodating with each other, a sweetness of appreciation, being each others warmth.
All of these, these are not any CONCIOUS efforts, and should not be either.
Rather, it should be more spontaneous like muscle memory. Ordinary reflexive actions.
I genuinely adore them.
The women of those men do not make me jealous or bewail. Rather, it gives me a contentment, like a soft, beautiful breeze of Sakura in spring.
I want to treat those men right. to
I wonder how it feels when you hear from someone that your man said about you like that.
I know some men of this culture.
Those men will always remain a colorful one in my grey world.
And I wish and hope they are also being treated equally by their loved one with equal care, love, and respect.
