Mainamati's Palace Mound is the biggest and most astounding hill in the northern limit of the edge close Mainamati town, only east of Brahmanbaria street. The Gumti River, related to the antiquated waterway Ksiroda, has now moved a couple of hundred yards toward the east, however once streamed along its eastern edge, mostly washing its northern and southern foot too. Its old silted up bed is still unmistakably traceable.

Restricted unearthings here for a season or two have revealed some portion of a gigantic resistance divider round various parts of the site, presumably a fortification, and the edge of a considerable structure, likely a royal residence at the focal point of the site. Researchers broadly see it as the focal point of Devaparvata, the capital of Samatata.
