BACKGROUND OF PEARL HARBOR
The event behind the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was an event in 1931 when japan invaded Manchuria, one of the provinces of China. Manchuria was Japan's first invaded region and subsequently followed by a large-scale attack in 1947. Seeing this, the United States helped fund China in the military and financial sphere, while imports of oil and other raw materials to Japan were halted. This embargo is a major threat to Japan.
It was this situation that sparked the Japanese government's emotions and decided to conquer the Asia-Pacific region rich in oil and raw materials that Japan has not owned. The United States knows this and does not let Japan invade Asian countries. The inevitable warfare between Japan and America. Japan then made a strategy, the only way to conquer the United States is to destroy the US Navy in Pearl Harbor.
Preparation was done by the Japanese and decided to attack on December 7, 1941. Japan waged the Great East Asia war. After Pearl Harbor can be mastered, Japan occupied several areas of its allies including Indonesia. This attack led the United States to interfere in the Pacific War. The Japanese did not realize that he had awakened the world war giants.
The above words mean, "I am afraid, all we have done is to awaken the sleeping giant and fill it with a terrible determination" said Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the designer of Japanese attack tactics. These fears happen. US President Franklin D. Roosevelt responded to the Japanese attack. Four years after the Pearl Harbor raid, the Japanese who had seized control of Asia finally surrendered and turned to the United States, especially after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
