The adventures of a child's Big Top circus tent after dark. Is a sentence I never thought I'd write :)
It all started when I was doing my 1st 365 project. I was sat on my couch thinking of ideas for my shot of the day. As with everything in life I had left it to the last minute and it was already night time.
Devoid of ideas just for a change I have decided the best way of coming up with an idea is to get the camera out and start snapping.
There aren't many situations in life where being a short arse is an advantage but when it comes to spinning a dome in a childs big top its a great help.
Span the dome, crawled out and lit the scene with the Led Lenser.
Top night out back at magpie mine with @fastchrisuk . I got there nice an early so I could decide where to pitch the tent. Had a good scout about the vicinity of the Mine and then spotted the doorway which had been designed with housing a childs big top tent in mind. Happy days.
Shutter fired by Chris whilst I was in position, span the dome and crawled out. Lit the face of the wall from an oblique angle for some texture whilst Chris lit the inside of the arch from the tradesmans entrance with his newly purchased beast of a torch gelled red.
This one from the bomb store with my fave Lp prop.
Triple tripod swap here. One for the junction box, one for the dome tent and one for the Denis Smith ball of light orb.
Took a fair few attempts for this one and cheers Mart and the others for your patience, it's always appreciated.
Top times in awesome company.
I haven't done one of these for a while as my dome tool needs some love. I plan on rewiring it with some neopixel rgb led lights and once I have done that it will be time to pitch up again.
Roll Up! Roll Up! :)
