Fortunately, I don't do the work myself. I hire out the work to local businesses. At home, on the other hand, I do my own work . . . mostly.

Yes. We have 30 RTUs rather than have large air handling units. They give us some resiliency. But, they're also more maintenance.

You'll need blower fans to dry out the floor and walls. Dehumidifiers would also be a help. Your landlord should be concerned about mold and working on the repairs. The way remediation companies do it

Wrapping up the day. Writing log book of work done. HVAC has a bad blower motor. Other unit does not have flooded drain pan. Roof leak is legit roof leak. Used new disinfectant sprayer for the first time.

HVAC inspection shows that there is no water accumulation in the drain pan. That leaves roof leak. There is standing water around the unit. The other HVAC unit is beyond my capability to check. Calling

You're not too far off base. IFMA (International Facility Manager Association), ProFM, and BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) have professional certification courses that cost in the thousands.

That's something I forgot to put in. Facility Manager is also responsible for emergency response and planning. Also, remediation when things do go whack to put things back how they used to be.

Good job. The process of painting over mold and mildew (fungi) is called encapsulation. It is often a method used for remediation in homes that have flood damage. The house looks much more presentable.
