Finally, it is the part of the year when I am totally sticked to the TV watching handball :D. As many people know Croatian handball national team is really decorated with medals. In Europe I would say with France, Germany and some Nordic countries we are really handball superpower. Everyone who is handball fan knows about Ivano Balic, Domagoj duvnjak, Petar Metlicic and others Croatian stars.
Why this year for me is special is that this European championship will be held in my country Croatia.
The games will be played in Zagreb, Varaždin, Poreč and Split. The infrastructure is built for the World handball championship which was held in 2009. If someone remember the final game it was Croatia vs France. That was the biggest classic in handball histoy for me, unfortunately we lost that game, there was lot of bad comments on the referee. That was the game when the Igor Vori almost kicked the referee with the ball haha.

This year we are all hyped. Old coach is back. His name is Lino Červar, he is one of the best handball coaches in Croatia, everyone loves him and we hope that he will lead us to the finals. Lot of people are arguing about this generation of players. Yes I agree we are not talented and powerful as generation with Ivano Balic, Mirza Džomba, Petar Metlicic that generation won Olimpic Games in Portugal in 2004. That was magic handball, but now we have experienced players like Duvnjak, Vori, Alilović with the young players as Cinrdić I think this generation with the home playground needs to win one of the first three places.

I hope to see good games and Croatia on the winning place :D
