Suran is a very popular vegetable item in India and hope in the world also which grows like potato, it means under earth into deep soil but the its size and taste makes it different from Potato. People says that it is the one type of Ayurveda medicine and helps to cure from cancer and piles disease but for me it is a vegetable only. Today i am going to show you some photos of it which is 100% organic and grown in my sister's garden.
I was there for any good reason and saw that some Surans were in middle yard hence decided to capture those all. I like this vegetable and always eat at home, if there is a good cook then it can fail the taste of red meat or mutton.
It is known as different different names in different different province of India such as JIMIKAND , OL(ओल) but don't know the exact meaning of it in English, however Google says that it is known as Elephant Foot Yam but i am not sure..
