The music around us is getting worse and worse, and if we keep this up it will be valued as garbage instead of true art.
This was the statement in a newspaper that the writer expressed his enormous concern about how music was evolving around the planet since Bad Bunny had recently won artist of the year awards that had always been won by True Artists. Many people acclaim the inclusion of languages in the big music awards, but how to talk about inclusion if the true art or the essence of what music is is being lost by leaps and bounds? But people are not interested in that, almost no one is studying music or playing instruments, it's all trap and reggaeton.
That's why it was a great joy for me to see that in the center of the city where I live they opened a rock café, something like a sanctuary for true music lovers, it had been so many years since I had seen something like that, it was for me like knowing that there was a Disneyland in Venezuela. But the best of all is that a music teacher who gave me lessons when I was 15 years old was the one who started it, and since I was a bankrupt pianist, the teacher gave me a V.I.P. invitation for the opening. My teacher, whom we will call Pablo, asked me to play several jazz pieces live for the guests, and without thinking twice I accepted the invitation and started practicing the best songs to make that inauguration legendary.
To my surprise, many people and even national artists went to the inauguration of this rock café, since it was like finding a golden needle in a haystack. Everything was going great, other artists played their pieces and performances of different genres such as Rock, Jazz, Opera, and even Salsa. Now it was my turn and they brought out a Yamaha studio piano, which brought back a lot of memories from when I was studying music, so I was inspired and played my musical pieces with total tranquility.
Everyone was amazed, even the food critics and newspaper critics who were going to see the opening of the new cafeteria, they stopped writing to listen to my execution of the musical notes, and everything was perfect until out of nowhere came a tik-tok influencer with a big horn and Bad Bunny's music at full volume, he was looking for a place to celebrate the triumph of his musical idol and chose the cafeteria to do it. I was very upset, as I was very tired of this riffraff with the trash music that they force people to listen to as they play it loudly everywhere.
He interrupted everything, and as he had the music at a high volume the guests and interested people started to leave, the critics too and the place was almost empty. It was extremely frustrating and I was very angry because I had so many years without being able to play, I had finally found a place that was a sanctuary for me where I could enjoy a good coffee and listen to real live music and everything was ruined on the first day by an idiot with his trash music. So not wanting to ruin what I had waited for so long I approached this guy and asked him to turn off the crap that in this coffee shop there were decent people who were enjoying a good time in peace.
This very arrogant and arrogant influencer corrected me that what he was listening to was real music and that it should be current, progressive, and inclusive and all the rest of the repetitive and trite discourse of the tiktoker. I replied I don't give a damn, this place is not for you, he replied that it was a free society and that he was wherever he wanted and told me a lot of rude things where he even insulted my mom. When this guy said this to me it was as if he activated in me the rage that the Hulk feels to transform, and I just grabbed this guy by the collar of his shirt with a force that I had no idea where I had gotten it from and threw him to the street outside the establishment. Then I came back and grabbed the horn that was still playing at full volume and threw it on the ground and shouted: "This is a Rock Café, so GET OUT!!!", something like what Leonidas did with the arrogant Persians hahaha.
But out of nowhere I feel like someone touches my shoulder and says to me: Dude are you ok? are you going to keep playing? dude?, It turns out that everything that had happened I had imagined, and although an arrogant tiktoker with trash music on a bugle had arrived and interrupted everything, he left quickly because he didn't fit in there since it was an anti-progress place. So as none of that had happened I was glad no one saw that loss of my temper haha, so as everyone was waiting for me to continue, I resumed my act and continued playing those musical pieces at the opening of the rock cafe.
