Few things cause me extreme terror 😅 but what happened today Sunday at 5AM was something on another level.
Lately it has been very hot where I live, temperatures reach up to 38 degrees Celsius, and that kind of temperature attracts all kinds of animals and fauna to the houses, since in search of a humid and cold environment, they get into where we least expect it.
And in the specific area where I live is the territory of one of the most venomous and dangerous animals, the giant hundred, or as it is scientifically called "Scolopendras".
These animals are extremely dangerous because of their potent venom that causes damage to the nervous system and their venom causes the skin to rot or start gangrene if not treated immediately.
What I think this morning at 5 a.m, is that I feel under my sheet where I am sleeping a kind of Cadillo or small barbs, so I imagine that the cats placed something on the bed as it always does. But all of a sudden I felt like the Cadillo was walking on my leg and I knew immediately that it was not some plant but something worse, so I turned on the lights and indeed it was like a horror movie to see how this thing was walking all over the sheets and the bed. It's literally like waking up living a rattlesnake under your pillow or a black mamba.
So I immediately got up and my father-in-law helped me catch it in a plastic container. And after taking pictures and scaring it, I released it hundreds of meters away from my house to prevent it from coming back.
Interestingly, although these animals are very dangerous, they help a lot to balance the pests in the home, as they are predators of cockroaches, mice, small snakes or even lizards. And although their appearance is intimidating and causes panic, they can be very useful.

Pocas cosas me causan un terror extremo 😅 pero lo que pasó hoy domingo a las 5AM fue algo de otro nivel.
Últimamente ha hecho mucho calor en donde vivo, las temperaturas llegan hasta los 38 grados celsius, y ese tipo de temperatura atrae a todo tipo de animales y fauna a las casas, ya que en busca de un ambiente húmedo y frÃo, se meten en dónde menos lo esperamos.
Y en la zona especÃfica donde vivo es territorio de uno de los animales más venenosos y peligrosos, el cien pues gigante o como se le dice cientÃficamente "Escolopendras".
Estos animales son sumamente peligrosos por su potente veneno que causa daños al sistema nervioso y su veneno hace que la piel se pudra o comience con gangrena si no es tratado de manera inmediata.
Lo que creo esta mañana a las 5 a.m, es que yo siento debajo de mi sábana donde estoy durmiendo una especie de Cadillo o púas pequeñas, asà que imagino que las gatas colocaron algo en la cama como siempre lo hace. Pero de repente sentà como el cadillo iba caminando en mi pierna y supe inmediatamente que no se trataba de alguna planta sino de algo peor, asà que encendà las luces y efectivamente fue como una pelÃcula de terror al ver como esta cosa caminaba por todas las sábanas y la cama. Es literalmente como despertarte vivir una cascabel debajo de tu almohada o una mamba negra.
Asà que inmediatamente me levanté y mi suegro me ayudó a atraparla en un recipiente de plástico. Y luego de tomarle fotos y pasar el susto, la libere a cientos de metros de mi casa para evitar que volviera.
Algo interesante que aunque estos animales son muy peligrosos ayudan muchÃsimo a equilibrar las plagas en el hogar, ya que son depredadores de cucarachas ratones pequeñas culebras o incluso lagartos. Y aunque su aspecto es intimidante y causa pánico pueden ser muy útiles.
