Do you know, which is the most popular and competitive football league in the world right now? Undoubtedly, it is the English Premier League [EPL]. There are many reasons behind the popularity of this league. Compared to the football leagues of other countries in the world, it has advanced technology and facilities. World class players and coaches are available in this league. This Premier League (EPL) is the most-watched sports league in the world, broadcast in 212 territories to 642 million homes and a potential TV audience of 4.7 Billion people. By this, you can know how popular this football league is ..!
This League was founded in 20 February 1992, which is about 29 years ago. By passing days, it’s gain more and more popularity around the world. At presently 20 teams are playing in this league and there are 10 /11 teams which are same compare to their team strength. You can't say who will win the title before the end of a season, anything can happen in any time. As an example, the winner of Premier League Title in 2020-21 season is Manchester city, but in previous year (season 2019-20) Liverpool FC won the Premier League title. You also shocked to know that, those both teams aren’t the most time champions in the EPL history, the most time title winner is Manchester United. Manchester United won the Premier League titles 13 times as the highest.
At presently, the season 2021-20 is running and already nearly half of matches were played. This year points table looks very tight as Manchester City, Liverpool FC & Chelsea FC fighting each others for the first position on the points table. All three teams have nearly same points after 17 matches, Where Man-City are in first position by obtaining 41 points, Liverpool is in second position by obtaining 40 points and Chelsea is in third position with 37 points. We can't say who will win the league title this year until 15 or 16 more matches. But, City has an advantage as they are four points ahead of Chelsea and one point ahead of Liverpool.
If we compare to their team strength for the race of win the title this year, we can't find many differences between the three teams. All three team has world class players & have brilliant coaches. They are also in good form as they already qualify for the UEFA Champions league round of sixteen. But Man City and Liverpool are slightly ahead compare to Chelsea to win the title as they had good points in the board, won last five matches in Premier league & qualified for UCL round of sixteen as a group champion.
