Even though the power down stats can be a little disheartening to look at sometimes, I've read many posts from Steemians about reaching a certain status in their account. It could be getting to be a minnow or a dolphin, for instance. And it always keep me grounded to the "real" reality of the situation. In that, there are people that honestly "get" this place and wanna build a solid foundation for themselves. So I also thought of mentioning my own specific targets that I always had in mind from the very beginning. The amount of SP I'd be happy with before I would even think of taking a break from the STEEM blockchain for a while. And that plucky figure would be...
Infinity. Yep, that'll do it for me. When my account reaches infinity or thereabouts, I'll be pretty satisfied with what I have. It ain't gonna be easy getting there, but hell, I'll give it a damn good try. So what about the time frame I'm giving myself to get to such a lofty goal? How about "never". I suppose that sounds about right given the context of the goal itself. So to sum up briefly. I hope to keeping growing my account until I reach "infinity" which I intent in reaching in a period of "never". And there you have it, ladies and gents! My STEEM road map laid bare.
Lol, but before you stop reading this post thinking I've lost my damn mind, I'm actually being honest with you here. Because from the get-go, I've never had an actual numerical target. The strategy has always been this. Where a price point has been low enough, investing would be the way to go. Where the price point was high enough, blogging would be the way to go. If a median price point was met, it would be a delicate combination of both. From the outset, I strove to keep on pushing in my journey on the STEEM blockchain as far as it would take me before it wouldn't be possible anymore, for whatever reason that is. Hence, my only logical goal being "infinity" or as close to it as possible.
So it stands to reason that given the target I was aiming for was, in fact, impossible to attain, I wouldn't give myself any time constraints either but instead keep on soldiering forward until the conditions I outlined above were also met. Therefore given this nonsensical premise I set for myself, am I happy with what I've achieved thus far? Well, to be perfectly frank, not until I make it the end of this road, whatever or however that may be. Because the factors you've gotta contend with whilst being involved in this blockchain can very likely mentally tear you to shreds! I've seen it all and it ain't pretty, lemme tell you.
The volatility of the price, politics of the system and even the risk associated with being in the crypto space at all! It all ends up being one huge cooking pot of chaos and anarchy. So you know that old adage starting with "if you can't beat 'em…"? Well, if you really wanna see what you're made of, you may need to adopt the mindset of a madman (or woman, as the case may be). And the question of as to whether it's been working out for me so far or not? I'll simply leave that in the capable hands of fate and destiny, thank you very much. Nobody ever said be a Steemian was easy...
