Development on the STEEM blockchain is a juggernaut that just refuses to slowdown. With all the buzz of late surrounding the likes of the incredible Dapps Steem-engine and Scotbot, we now have yet another killer update from 
Instead of trying to compete with rival platforms offering similar systems and implementations, Dtube appears to be all about integration, on all fronts. So whereas before you had the option of only uploading content to IPFS, now "links" are enabled that will embed a video straight into the platform itself. The biggest names in the industry are all covered, such as YouTube, Vimeo** and Twitch. This approach, which aims to embrace existing technology out there and incorporate it into ours, is a beautiful concept to witness.
You know the competitive nature of the space we're in and how toxic it can get! "We must succeed where everyone else must fail", yada yada yada. A more positive stance in which external communities work together with each other, simply makes more sense. So for instance, YouTubers who may want to try out Dtube, are not simply given an assertive "this or that" demand. They can continue to post where they feel comfortable whilst enjoying all the benefits which come using crypto-enabled blockchain tech. Should they so wish to switch sides completely at some point in the future, is totally up to them. No pressure whatsoever. I absolutely love this direction
Dtube also now runs it's own blockchain. So that the Dtube development team can have more control and say over the content that gets posted. Again, it wold have been real easy to trying going it on your own whilst giving the one-fingered salute to the STEEM blockchain. Akin to a certain other dev project begin with "D". But no, instead, we will operating in a co-existing partnered environment. A platform where users can get remuneration in STEEM, DTC (the new blockchain token) and SBD. In addition to all this, the developers of Steem-engine are also on-board with Dtube and the upcoming Scot-tube for Palnet tokenization!
The work that's being carried out is mind-blowing, to say the very least. The dots are all connecting up to create a stunning picture one can only have dreamt of a couple of years back. Huge platforms working together in synergy, for the positive opportunistic benefit of one other. I'm loving what I'm seeing. STEEM is going to be absolutely off-the-scale. Cannot wait to see what in the hell comes next! Please, bring it on! :)
