Crypto is Literally All About "Bitcoin" and "Libra" at the Moment
We got a tremendous amount of activity going on with the STEEM blockchain at the moment. What with Palnet and Steem Monsters taking up most of my time, on the outside is a completely different story. Something's gotta give as things might well get explosive in the crypto space and real soon it appears.
First off, we got all eyes on Bitcoin right now. Not since March 2018 have we seen a five-figure valuation for the OG of crypto currencies, but it looks as if we're primed to see it taken out any moment now. The bulls are on a rampage and a quick glance at my TA shows we ain't in no hurry to reverse anytime soon. A $10,000 Bitcoin could have huge psychological implications, in terms of FOMO'ing investors and general public. Many are calling for a severe pullback around this point, but as we've seen time and time again, price just doesn't care. That notoriously strong previous level of $6,000 is testament to that statement. I guess it has to do with our relatively low marketcap. If the whales really wanna push price screaming higher, it won't be that hard to pull off. And that's the intention I'm getting. We could be on the cusp of a humongous rally, judging simply on historical data alone. Will be very interesting to see what Bitcoin will be going into 2020.
And then there's Facebook with their Libra coin. It's hitting the headlines so hard that most people should at least be aware of the term "crypto" and have it stored as part of their vocabulary. A stark contrast to how things were before the announcement. One news article was accusing Facebook of actually creating a bank out of thin air and questioned if such a thing was even viable to do. I couldn't help but laugh at the naivety. Welcome to the world of crypto, media goons! I'm also reading stories about the introduction of Libra coin possibly eradicating every other digital token under the sun, including Bitcoin itself. An absolutely ridiculous statement in itself but at the very least, this space is being spoken about in places where it can be heard by many. We've got a whole lot more turmoil as well as good times ahead of us, so it's great to be able to find a starting point. And Libra coin is providing that in the most speculator fashion possible.
It still amazes me to this day just how fast the crypto movement is pushing forward. I give it a couple of years when everyone you know will be talking about crypto currencies in some form or another. Whether it be in a good light or bad. You can imagine the backlash some groups will have against digital tokens and the empowerment it brings with it to the masses. As far as the "really big" news events in crypto, I have a feeling all that's about to come. We ain't seen nothing yet! So strap yourselves in, ladies and gents. This is guaranteed to be one wild ride! :)
