Skin

By Ezra Vancil

Skin,
light from the window of west
God give patience,
for what I endure
h e r s e x i s t h e w i n d o w
l i g h t, t h a t p o u r s
for and from
the light of south, her naked
Sworn,
purity in dress
sweet, curious,
ethereal
caress - The light,
how it turns
S h a d o w s
E m b r a c e
The deep and curve
The intricate space
Light
in the valley, Shadow,
mid-tones
grasping the skin
Hiding the bones
o f y o u
Where you began
Inside from out
Outside, in
- We are but machines
spirit, contains
Organic in nature
From west window pane
