I haven't posted in a long time, but I have some new photos I'd like to share.
The weather has officially turned colder in the midwest, and although I enjoy wearing layers and taking long walks, I've been taking far less neighborhood/nature photos lately.
My artistic focus instead has been to focus on simple projects I can set up around the house- I work at a grocery store where I get a good discount, so I've been taking home flowers lately and photographing them in and around my house.
This morning roses were inexpensive, so I took some home, set up some lights, and... almost as soon as I start shooting one of my cats comes in and starts nibbling on the leaves.
My first reaction was irritation- go away! you're messing things up.
A minute later my mind changed - why not incorporate that animal element?
