For me, the movie "The Lighthouse" is like a hypnotic wanderings of madness. The film is filled with many images and is devoid of a plot as such.

The film exposed the boundaries of the unconscious and the conflict of self. And despite the fact that on the screen we saw two amazing actors, I inexorably saw the moaning of one person - one soul. I understand that this movie is very often criticized for the abundance of incoherent scenes and a huge number of references to myths. However, I treated the picture as a dream that is woven from images and only you decide what to look at.
Here there are images from Homer's pages, Freud's psychoanalytic theory, the unconditional influence of Lovecraft and of course, the image of the Lighthouse itself, which clearly broadcasts a phallic symbol.

Separate respect to director Robert Eggers, who revives the horror genre without the use of butaphoria and corpses, and turns to the viewer through a decadent mystery, coupled with juicy shots and a blood-chilling audio order.
"The lighthouse" is a gallery of dreams, chilling nightmares and terrible tales, the demons of which tear from the depths of primitive.
