Once in childhood, one adult made a riddle for me.

He drew nine dots on a piece of paper and said it was nine stations. These stations had to be interconnected underground by wires, but connected so that the lines did not intersect.

Just random picture

I tried to connect them with straight lines, but nothing worked out for me. Then I decided to think outside the box and began to trick: draw curved lines.

You know what? That didn't help me either.

Then I tensed up, got angry and came up with the most cunning and idea of all: I began to draw round lines around the stations!

But they intersected anyway!

Аfter long hours of reflection, I, annihilated by defeat, went with a piece of paper to an adult.
"I didn’t succeed! How to solve this correctly?" - I said.
The adult was a little embarrassed and answered with a smile: "This problem must be solved in three dimensions."

If in childhood I knew the word "fuck", then at that moment I would definitely say: "Well fuck!"

But now, every time I see people who catch their interlocutor on contradictions, I immediately recall this riddle.

Because it contained great wisdom.

If a person, in your opinion, has one thought contrary to another, then never forget to look at this contradiction in three dimensions.
