I am not so sure that security ceases to exist when it comes to leading a successful life. The person who free-climbed one of the world’s hardest-to-climb cliffs in Yosemite National Park took a tremendous risk in attempting his goal, but at every point in his attempt he made sure that he had a good, secure grip on the rock face before moving onwards and upwards. Had he ignored the need for security and just gone for it, he surely would have slipped and fallen.
I’m pretty sure there’s a metaphor for life in there, somewhere.
