The Philippines to finally re-open for tourism 馃嚨馃嚟馃嚨馃嚟馃嚨馃嚟
Is this really happening? Are we going to finally celebrate the reopening of the border?
Well, I am actually looking forward to this moment for the border to finally re-open.
Since 2020 around October I've been looking forward to the news on when the Philippines is re-opening the border. We must admit that closing the border has been a massive pain for people who work in the Hospitality Industry and a lot of hotels and airlines have to let go of their employees.
I woke up yesterday seeing the news that the Philippines is reopening for tourism on February 10, 2022. My initial reaction was like "oh please". 馃槖
I don't sound excited when I would really have to, you know why? They announced last year that the border is reopening yet when the Delta Variant came up they immediately announced that the border will remain close until this pandemic or variant is over.
It has been pushed back multiple times and ended up having more requirements for those people that were allowed to enter that time.
I was actually following the news about this and even check all Youtuber who discussed the reopening of the border and was really hopeful but each time they are trying to reopen it a lot of things come up.
Now, that this news of reopening the border for I don't know how many times now is being spread out all over I am not going to set a higher expectancy as many changes may arise.
If you have loved ones or friends that wanted to visit the Philippines following the announcement, make sure to wait a little time till the reopening will be implemented. Be wise and tell them not to buy the ticket immediately and if they are decided, they need to make sure that they have all the requirements and they can actually consult an agency to arrange things before they arrive in the Philippines.
