Throughout my stay with my current company, I have developed many wonderful friends. Some of them I met at work, while others were acquaintances. My bond with these two incredible folks is more than just friendship; I already call them family. Kaye and I rarely see each other now that she no longer works for the same company as me and Yor. We last bonded together during our Kris-Kringle celebration last year. We had a difficult time deciding on a date to set our dinner date or coffee date because we work on separate schedules and have various days off.
We finally had the same day off. or the past two weeks Kaye asked if we could get together for dinner or a coffee date. Since I am free, I said yes, we could, but Yor was fairly busy recovering from a minor operation, so he spent his time doing that and taking it easy as his doctor had advised. We then all decided that we would do it on our following day off. I got up early last Wednesday because I was so excited to meet them both. Kaye messaged me first, and Yor was the one who went MIA, with no chat and no messages. We were concerned that this would turn out to be another colossal flop. lol
When Yor eventually responded, we were overjoyed because it meant that we could finally unite and that I could really enjoy my rest day. He drove all the way to the hospital since he had an appointment to get his sutures removed. Our meeting at IT Park was put off and we decided to just pick the mall nearby our office. Yor appointment was canceled and after that, he decided to go to our meeting place earlier. We decided to just wait to meet in Ayala, the mall nearby our office as that would be ideal since it is where most jeepneys stop from where they live. As soon as I get the message that Yor is near I start preparing as well as Kaye. I book an Angkas as it is faster and more convenient. While Kaye was stuck in the traffic, I decided to just get some items from the grocery while I wait.
After 30 minutes of waiting, I finally saw them both, and I was overjoyed. We then chose the Seafood Island as our dining destination. This restaurant used to have more tables outside and a more appealing appearance, as well as a significant number of servers who would greet you as you entered the entrance, but it has changed significantly. Nonetheless, despite the fact that it has changed significantly, I am confident that they continue to serve delicious meals that we adore. This restaurant is well-known for its Bilao bundle or Boodle fight for large parties of diners.
We had a fantastic early dinner with this fantastic food selection that we adore. It was a pleasure to share with these two, but the day is not yet done. Following the delicious supper, we went to another location for coffee. In my future blog, I'll tell you about our experience.
