Before the pandemic struck the world we were still able to celebrate the last post-peak party in our company. I clearly remember that day and still miss those moments with some of my friends until now. They asked all employees to choose a theme, we have two options. The first one was Musical and the other one is Casino Royale. The majority of the employees voted for Casino Royale since it is hard to find a dress to wear for the musical theme.
I choose to wear a jumpsuit in a maroon color, I bought it for 400 PHP in Colon. I also pick up some accessories from one of the stores nearby where I bought my dress. It is almost impossible to get only one accessory as the stores really have a lot of good stuff and are very cheap as well. After we shop for the things we needed for the party we went straight home.
Some of my friends invited us over if we wanted to stay in a hotel, but because the day is short and the budget is limited, we can't afford it, plus I had spent my money on my previous trip to Singapore. So, my friends and I are seeking a cheaper way to get our make-up done, and I will not be embarrassed about sharing this because it is a terrific and inexpensive way to look lovely. We went to Watsons and asked if we could get our makeup and hair done there, and they said yes, so we saved 1,000 PHP or so. We freshened up after our shift, and because we had a shower room, I took a shower and went straight to the mall. My hair and makeup took about 45 minutes, and I asked to keep it simple. I adore how it turned out. After we were done we went back to the office to change and I just love the outfit though it is going to be hard work, especially when going to the bathroom. lol
We take a cab down to Ocean Park, which I am visiting for the first time. I adored the façade and the red carpet that they set up, and of course, we couldn't miss it for the world and took a ton of photos. When we enter the place I can see that the majority of the people were wearing Black and Red colored outfit. I saw some familiar faces of my friends and other colleagues posing for the camera. We loved the party, the music, and the food. We get to watch the gorgeous creatures swimming around, but I have yet to win the raffle prizes that I am expecting. My foot was hurting, but my paper bag came in handy because I had my alternate footwear and I was eager to remove my high heels shoes, which were bothering me and giving me blisters. lol
We went back to the office and took our stuff and we headed home. It was indeed a memorable one. It's just unfortunate that this year after everything gets back to normal our office decided not to hold a PostPeak Party. It disappoints a lot of the employees but what can we do, it is what it is. lol
