I have two Chamaecereus silvestrii cacti that I grow in different conditions.
One is growing outside in very fast drying clay pot. It get all the hot sun and rain throughout the year. The second one I grow inside the house in a plastic pot. Last year the second one didn't bloom (the first one did). This year they both with with multiple flowers.
The only difference between then is that the one outside has very short and stiff stems. The one that has milder conditions looks like a pot of dreadlocks :p.
I was actually surprised to see the buds forming. The one outside bloomed a few weeks earlier and I was getting use to the fact that the mild conditions on the windowsill will not allow him to bloom. They just keep surprising me.
