This is not my plant. But I am really considering taking a little offshoot of it. All because of those spotted leaves. A big pot of them looks amazing and if doesn't even have to bloom.
It is also called Spotted-leaved Drimiopsis, Leopard Lily or Little White Soldiers. It is a deciduous plant native to Southern Africa. The leaves grow from bulbs that sit on top of the soil. The look reminds me some of the orchids that produce large leaves growing from similar bulb. With time it will form a nice bush and can be divided if someone wants one ;).
It likes shaded area as in native land would grow in woodlands. In colder climates it will go dormant for the winter time and regrow back in Spring.
This time I didn't see the flowers yet, they will appear later in the year. On a small plant they are not very showy. The stem is thick, maybe 15-20 cm tall and the flowers are very small clustered on top. They are light beige/green, but as I read they attract moths as their pollinators, so they don't really need any spectacular colours. A fragrance is enough (that I forgot to check).
I took some photos on a different occasion a while back. Those are not open yet, but you get the idea. They remind me of Muscari flowers.
It doesn't requite much care as long as it is kept in shade and watered from time to time.
