I don't shoot birds very often. And it is not that I don't like it, or don't want to. But because when I have to choose once lens to take with me for a walk, I will most likely pick the macro one.
One the way to one of our usual shooting spots we stopped by a beach that went just a few times before. And yea.. wrong lens.. but those seagulls looked so cool that day that I had to take some photos anyway.
On the photo below, in the very back you can see Cabo Espichel. A very cool spot to visit if you have a chance.
It was still early in the day and it look like they just wanted to warm up on the morning sun.
The beach was almost empty with just a few people walking around with their dogs or just catching some fresh air. A bit further away few surfers were trying them.
Most of them were hanging out in a group. There was a few lonely ones here and there. All of them facing the sun.
This one is done. Time to look for something to eat.
Prepare for lift-off...
Weeeeeee...
Can you spot the surfer? ☝️
The waves were pretty cool - quite angry and splashy.
This is why I like winter beaches. They are almost empty, the sand is smooth and the waves show who is the boss.
