utterly grateful for what we have found almost at our doorstep

This has happened to me last spring. We have forests around in my hometown. And I usually go to one part and I know it better. I decided to check out what is in the part I barely know and I was amazed how lovely it is. Then my sis came and I told her what I found... she shook her head... "you should have turned to the right and not left" and she took me to show some amazing spots I had no clue they existed. And I was abasically passing by them many times before.
