Continuing the flowers cacti journey, here is another one.
Quite a small one for a change. Also did not expected to see the flowers on this one. It was just a small, single cutting last summer. Now it has two flowers.
This little one is native to Valle Grande to Valle Colorado, Jujuy and Argentina. It grows high up even on 3000 meters above sea level hidden between rocks. It is rather small type that will clump creating a nice little cluster instead of growing long or tall. That suits me just fine :)
If you google the name you will see how cute it look with multiple stems and those little golden flowers among them.
See how small it is? The spines on it are also very small and very delicate. Rather soft and they do not do any harm.
At this moment is still grows in a community pot where I put all the cuttings to root. Before next season they all will get their own, fancy little pots.
