TLDR: When do you prune your Pelargoniums?
And now for the longer version.
I have this quite big pelargonium on my balcony. I was thinking of keeping it this size, cause the bush is pretty nice and green and I need something in that hot corner that nothing else wants to grow.
But It started to look a bit too messy. The stems are long and naked and it has leaves just on the newer growth. It bloomed nicely all summer and now is the time I probably should decide what to do.
The winter here is not very cold, so I keep all the plants outside on the balcony. There are warm spring-like days, some nights can get to 0 degrees, but very rarely. Last year the pelargoniums I have didn't lose all the leaves completely, but didn't grow.
This one here is one of the pellies. The smallest that I currently have, and one that will definitely not need any cuts. Gown from a stem cutting - like most I have. It basically bloomed just a few weeks after I planted it.
