The soil in the natural park we often go to take some photos is very sandy. Some places are just sand (that's where I pick it for my cacti) and everything that grows is covered in it at the lower level. Looks. Plants that grow there don't mind - that's what they like. It is still mostly pines, heather, ulex and some wildflowers.
At the right time there are also mushrooms.
I was trying to find an ID for this one and the closes I found is Russula decolorans, but is it? I'm not quite sure. On my photos it looks like they are quite young, the shape might change a lot when they mature.
Either way, I find it cute how they push though the sand and the hats stay covered in it Like kids playing and getting all dirty :)
