Box of chocolates

A bit like those undiscovered paths that you choose to follow and you don't know what you will find around the corner.
This is not really the case, cause I know the path very well, but when you take a magic lens with you (Helios 40-2mm) it is like discovering every little bit of it all over again. And every little bit looks like you have never seen it before.

This is Crataegus monogyna commonly known as Common hawthorn. There is so many of them in that area! As a kid I remember picking the tiny little apples and eating them directly from the tree. (I am still surprised I didn't die of some food poisoning after eating all the crap around :p)
Now I see them (also on the first photograph) with million of little bubbles around and freshy opened flowers.

Few last dandelions waiting for be blown away...

And much taller grasses will watch them fly away.

And then you enter Elderberry land and the fragrance of the flowers hits you and you just want to stay there. I don't know if it is just me, but I just love that smell! Thousands and thousands of snowflake like flowers that will turn to thousands and thousand of little black berries.

The sun is getting lower and the we are getting closer to my favourite part of the day. The silent part when every little creature awaits for the night.

The last rays of gold on the wild roses and the day is done.
