Living on the second floor doesn't see very insect friendly. In one hand that's good, cause they can be annoying. In the other hand though, I would love to see more of them around the plants. More bees, bumblebees, butterflies and all other flying pollinators. Very rarely I see some bumblebee around my pelargonia blooms, but by the time I get the camera ready he is gone.
Few days ago during my watering session I noticed little black spot on the Hibiscus leaves. And would you look at that! A tiny, black jumping spider! I saw those before few years ago. And then only the beige ones were appearing.
He is much smaller, with very black shiny fur, almost nay blue. So pretty!
See how tiny it was? Tiny and fast.
Earlier this year I had this guy on my Rhipsalis cactus. As much as I really like to see jumping spiders around, those stink bugs are gently removed from my eyesight.
Very rarely it happens that I see those tiny butterflies.
This one appears few weeks ago, and I already know why. Not for the flowers to feed on. But to lay eggs. Now I see that my pelargonia leaves are all munched. Even the little mint that I have is all bitten up.
Bad butterfly, bad!
Bonus:
The always present furry pet :)
Because it is Caturday after all!
