Yes, it's typically done in clinical trials especially for new drugs. They're called double-blind placebo-controlled trials. And it's done this way to eliminate the placebo effect.

Hey! Nice to meet a fellow dancer! I just wrote something about Polynesian dances. I think once we start working, committing to regular classes and rehearsals becomes much tougher to pursue any dance further.
