Each of my posts about Cherepovets begins with excuses to myself and readers that I was ignorantly biased against this city, but when I visited it, I am delighted and surprised to this day.
The city of Cherepovets is characterized by everyone as a gray industrial city with dull panels.
And this city is green, beautiful, cozy, with blocks with old architecture, with huge water arteries, bridges, parks and trams!
Cherepovets is more suitable to be the capital of Vologda region in terms of visual component, but not always the capital is the largest city. (although Vologda will still be more populated).
This city has everything: a colorful industrial zone, trams driving among paneled courtyards, modern parks and playgrounds, picturesque rivers and huge bridges.
Cherepovets, by the way, is a double record holder (at the moment) – the first cable-stayed bridge and the last one were built here.
And now they are making Vologda just as well-maintained and cozy!
The only thing you want when walking around Cherepovets is a more powerful telephoto lens.
This city seems more spacious, and the distances between objects become larger.
