Almost at the very end of the Sukhon road, there is the village of Big Settlement, through which the Luzhenga River flows. It is the most extreme and residential settlement located on this river. But there is a little further from the highway downstream of the Luzhenga the abandoned village of Small Settlement.
Getting to this village is not as difficult as to all previous ones. You can even take a regular SUV, but it was decided to go on foot and enjoy the whole route.
The road begins with an overgrown field, and then goes high up to the top of the hill. All the way lies along the river Luzhenga.
After a small copse, the fields overgrown with young spruces again.
Bird cherry blossoms around, from which the fragrant smell comes.
Only two houses are left from Small Settlement, but which ones!
Their size is already visible from afar with the naked eye.
These are five-wall houses with balconies. Not as huge as in the far north, but they are still larger than in all previous villages.
If we imagine that there were more than a dozen of such houses in the village and they all stood on the not yet overgrown bank of the river - it would be just an amazing sight!
Inside, everything is scattered around - vandals with each visit make a mess more and more.
But what am I surprised is that nowhere to find such houses so that everything inside is untouched.
Residential part of the hut.
Doll.
The second house seemed even larger.
The entrance to it is littered with a destroyed annex. Inside is about the same as in the first house.
Abandoned villages are becoming less and less, as they simply disappear from the face of the earth. Nature quickly regains its hold on itself. And there are almost no such houses left in the abandoned villages, and it’s just luck to find such, albeit ruined, beauty.
It is a pity that when all the villages were in their prime, no one took pictures of them... because there was nothing to shoot by. And now all the conditions allow them to capture, but there is nothing to shoot...
What then remains to do to us? Capture the places where life is still warm, because soon everything can disappear there too!
Dilapidated housing was in all centuries. Some houses disappeared, others were built anew. New villages disappeared and appeared. But we can observe such a massive disappearance of villages in Russia just now! This process has always been, but now it has become widespread.
Before the start of my entire trip along the Luzhenga River, I imagined the places of the past a little differently, but now I can safely say that there once were amazing villages with beautiful views! Even now, the steep banks of the river are breathtaking, and the opening spaces from the hills amaze with their greatness.
For this, I think it was worth visiting this area!
