Skornyakovo is a village in the Veliky Ustyug district of the Vologda region. It is part of the Krasavinsky rural settlement. The distance by road to the regional center of Veliky Ustyug is 25 km, to the center of the municipality of the village of Vasilyevskoe - 5 km.
This village is residential. A narrow asphalt road passes to the village. Skornyakovo is located in the floodplain of the Northern Dvina River at the confluence of the Lapinka River. You look around - endless fields.
The oldest house in the village is a huge five-wall with a mezzanine, a balcony and an annex.
The feeling of a cozy village is created by a narrow street and nearby houses to the road. At first, Skornyakovo seemed small to me, but as I walked along the street, there was no end in sight.
The area around is well-groomed, many decorative trees near houses and along the road. All this creates a comfortable feeling during your stay in this village.
It is a pity that the houses were built very close to the river, and therefore there is a high probability of flooding of the territory.
What else pleased was the small number of barking dogs behind the fences. I understand the inhabitants that when they start watchdogs, they think about their own safety, but walking in the midst of a voiced bark can be unbearable.
Before entering the village there is a small parking lot for cars. Now I understood the meaning of its presence! Skornyakovo is very tightly and it will be difficult to find a place for a U-turn. No wonder I went on foot.
There is not a single abandoned house.
At the end of the village, the asphalt abruptly ends and the field road begins, which leads to the river. I want to find the mouth of the Lapinka River, the place where it merges with the Northern Dvina.
