A reportage creative wave is an inner state when, during photographing, you need to apply creative approaches, tricks and all possible acquired skills.
This is a very necessary, interesting and useful wave!
I used to say that the reportage wave is too material, but it may also contain some kind of code of sensations.
Here a new fountain has opened in Vologda – you need to take pictures.
In this report I used at least three different genres: street, graphics and close-up.
As well as several different creative techniques, such as foreground blur, framing, ultra-short shutter speed, silhouette.
But I do it already so automatically that I don't have to remember or strain my brain to invent something else.
Very often fountains are shot at long exposures.
I chose the opposite ultrashort to freeze the water jets.
It's not the first time I've shot fountains. I already have a whole series called Fountain Adventures.
There I reveal life at the fountain. These are frolicking and bathing children, as well as everything that happens around.
But I managed to capture this fountain in a very unusual way.
This is exactly the approach in reportage shooting that I have been trying to achieve for many years.
It's called simply: capture for others as for yourself. But it's not easy to create such a real inner mood.
