It’s bad when thoughts don’t go. I did not get enough sleep today ..
How do I get the idea to shoot a series of graphic pictures? I just think and imagine that there is such a multiple, quantitative in nature or the environment and how it can be dispersed as uniformly as possible across the image.
Branches from trees have long been appreciated. They are like dry grass - they also look linear, scratched, but they also have smooth bends. I, as I could, tried to get away from any drawing and composition, but something was still drawn.
The main thing is not to allocate any main object. This photo is the opposite. It’s like removing a white sheet of paper, trying to find it in a lot of detail.
And the eye needs to be adjusted so that the focus is distracted. No, even light spots should not attract attention. Everything should be monophonic, but with a pattern, like wallpaper on a wall.
When the gaze has nothing to catch on immediately, he walks around the picture for a very long time, and then, reconciled with its homogeneity, he perceives it as a whole.
And it is very difficult to catch in the viewfinder.
It happens that you can see some rhythms and lines in the photo, but all of them must mix and dissolve.
You can, of course, make a beautiful graphic picture in black and white with lines, with composition, but this is not what I want.
It's beauty. There is a main object. Clear pattern and lines. But it is too simple.
But to make a monotonous carpet is much more difficult.
And the purpose of all this may not even be in the very final image as art, but in self-knowledge, in search, in the work of the brain and thought.
If this sounds easy to you, try it yourself. Maybe the picture is shit, but it makes the brain work.
I don’t know what drives me, but I have a desire in the future to make an exposition of the best graphic works...like I already spoke about this...
