It's been a 100 days since I joined Steemit, and I've been posting mostly my self portrait photography work for anywhere between four to seven days a week. That is four to seven days of coming up with a concept, getting myself ready, shooting, post processing and occasionally writing something to accompany the pictures. There has not been a day where I didn't log on to Steemit even when I wasn't posting myself that day. Quite frankly, I became obsessed right after the first post I made.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing to be obsesses about Steemit, au contraire, but I don't want this to turn into a job or chore for me, to be something I have to do, instead of wanting to do for fun. I already turned one passion into a job I now despise.

I've never before been this inspired and motivated to create, and improve on, my photography than I am now, BUT it has been taking its toll on me. Between Steemit and the necessary evil that is The Day Job, there is not much time for anything else. I've been neglecting my other interests, and people, too.

I'm taking just a couple days off from shooting myself and looking at my own face from the screen for hours while choosing and processing the pictures. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere for long and I have a couple fun projects I'm working on. Now I'll indulge in some Penny Dreadful, tea and knitting.

I think the mud mask compliments my eye color really well, maybe I should rock this look more often.
