I haven't been taking much pictures in the past week but I almost always have my camera with me and I do snap random pictures here and there when I see something I like. I do prefer shooting a lot at once and putting together a cohesive set of images but then I also have these random ones I take that are left to rot in the hard drive.
In the last few days I've been finally spotting some signs of spring as some bushes and trees are showing baby leaves and the first flowers are blooming. I'm not sure what you would call this flower family in English but for us it's onion flowers, they are the first one to bloom and they handle the sub zero temperatures well which are still on and off during the spring.
Finnish weather is weird and we can have all the four seasons happen during one day, and especially during the spring and autumn it's really hard to know what to wear outside. Always have to pack on layers and have wind and waterproof clothing that you can then shed off when it's sunny and calm for a while, and ten minutes after it's snowing.
Every spring I'm surprised by the amount of daylight we get here in the northern part of the world, it's just insane. At the moment sunrise it at 0439 and sunset at 2149, and days are still about to get a lot longer. Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is lifting with every hour of more daylight we get. The only downside to super early sunrise is that it's a bit hard to go to sleep when the sun is already rising at that point...which I'm for sure going to witness in about 5 hours when I try to go to bed.
