The title really says it all, but I can ramble something more too. It's the darkest time of the year because it's autumn, the sun isn't up for that long and there is not yet any snow to brighten up the scenery. Lighting inside the house is extra important now and you have to take full advantage of the darkness by putting up all sorts of candles and beautiful warm toned lights.
