I made my man wake up early on a Saturday for a daytrip to the city to go to all the secondhand hotspots in search of more antiques.
We need (read: I want) more storage, lights and art. We scored two out of three at a very reasonable price, not bad at all.
In the picture above I’m testing the selfie capability of the gorgeous antique wardrobe and it’s pretty fucking neat but a bit too pricey at 900€. I think I can find me a wardrobe (or three) at a fair price from the secondhand online site I use if I just have enough patience. I just hope this doesn’t haunt my dreams…
I didn’t have to go home empty handed because we found a cheap little flower painting with a nice solid frame. To be honest, we care more about the frames than the art, because it’s fun to gather random art and it can always be replaced by a photo or something my sister gifts to me at Christmas. HINT HINT!
Another thing we found was a much needed chandelier. Soon the sun will only rise for a few hours and we are missing at least four ceiling lamps and many that I want to replace because they are some Ikea leftovers or just bare bulbs.
The chandelier is not crystal, just plain glass but after I took out all the pieces and washed them it looks pretty shiny. For now it’ll be in the library but I’m always changing the interiors so it might end up somewhere else when we get more lights.
