I used to have the darkest brown hair for years and years, dyeing it once every month, and while the Snow White look suited me, it was quite a hassle to keep up. Three years ago I decided to get back to my natural colour, which I started to grow out, and then did several rounds of colour removal and bleaching, to get rid of all the dark colour. It ruined my silky smooth hair pretty badly, and after a couple years, it's only now completely back to it's former glory. So I guess now would be the time to ruin it again! My hair actually works better if it's a bit roughened up, because this silky smooth texture is impossible to work with.
The picture on the left is pretty much my natural colour, only a bit lighter, due to sun exposure and sun spray to speed that up. I have only toned my hair once in the past couple years, and now I'm bored with my natural colour. It's not bad but because my hair turns orange from it's natural mousey brown colour after it lives for a few months, I am not a fan. Cooler tones work a lot better for my skin colour, so I've been thinking of doing something drastic to my hair.
For a while now, an idea has been brewing in my head that I should try blonde hair. Life is too short not to try if blondes really do have more fun. I haven't been blonde since I was maybe four years old, my hair started to get darker pretty early on, so I really don't know what it would look like on me.
I realised I have this wonderful tool called Photoshop, and even with my very limited skills, I could at least try to see what my hair would look if it was lighter.
In reality I do not care what anyone else thinks, I'm still gonna do it once I consult a hair person and decide how light and which tone should I go for. I think I could rock icy blonde hair with dark roots.
