My first ever cableknit sweater is progressing at good speed and it’s the most enjoyable knit I have made in a long time. It feels like it’s almost going too fast, it won’t even take me two weeks to finish at this rate. Obviously 5,5mm and 4,5mm needle sizes play a part on how fast this is to knit, especially considering that the last few knits I’ve made were with 2,75mm and 3mm needles if I remember correctly. Couple millimetres might not sound like much but in knitting it’s a big difference.
My sleep schedule has been out of control but the upside is that my knit has progressed fast during sleepless nights. This is me trying on the sweater at 3am before another attempt at getting some sleep.
I’ve seen a few people stop at this point of the knit to make a vest, of course finishing the armhole edges and collar. I’m gonna continue to finish the body, wide sleeves and a big collar, probably done by the end of the week.
